MacVector



MacVector is now available via Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), a product that enables software distribution over a network. With SMS, it is no longer necessary for you or a technician to manually install software on your machine. The software is simply pushed through the Cincinnati Children's network onto your machine.

To request Macvector via SMS, send an email to software@bmi.cchmc.org with the following information:

MacVector

MacVector is an easy to use MacOS/OS X application to help Molecular Biologists analyse, assemble and document DNA and protein sequences. MacVector, provides. MacVector 18.1 is a Universal Binary application, which means it runs natively on both Apple Silicon M1 Macs and Intel Macs. MacVector 18.1 matches the “Big Sur” look and feel. And for the first time in many, many years the MacVector icon has changed to match the square look of macOS Big Sur icons.

Biomedical Informatics will review your request and coordinate with Information Services to have the software distributed to your machine.

Macvector For Pc

For certain machines, SMS installations are not possible. If it is determined that your machine falls into this category, Deskside support will manually install the software on your machine.
